about me

Hi, I'm Emily.

I'm an aspiring Christian author with a love for speculative fiction and my head in the clouds. If I'm not writing about other worlds, I'm probably daydreaming about them. I firmly believe that the passion and longing for a world beyond our own is a blessing given to us by God, that prepares us to go to our eternal Home. Until we do, it's our job to shine light and love and lead others to that longing, too.

I write mostly fantasy, but also some sci-fi, and though my first love is novels I also write flash fiction on occasion and have been published with Havok a few times. You can read more about my stories/ writing projects here!

I've been lurking in the blogosphere since 2015, but I started this blog on September 1, 2018. I haven't posted consistently since I started college in 2020, and though I've now graduated, it's been so hard to get my momentum back. It's a work in progress. Sort of. XD

Some random things that you should know about me: 

-I'm 25, an INFJ, and I have an associates degree in English.

-I'm a huge animal lover, and my 4-year-old Husky mix Xander is the love of my life.

-I love thunderstorms, coffee, candles, sweaters, and baking. Basically, if I could live forever in a crisp fall day, I would be perfectly content.

-I'm never satisfied with this page because I'm terrible at writing bios, so the next time you come here it will probably look different. XD
